December 7...Roatan, Honduras
We arrived in Roatan around 10am. It was overcast and foggy, but that didn't stop Bobby and I from sitting on our balcony, taking in the beautiful island, as we pulled into port. It was gorgeous! The most jungle-ish port we stopped at and I really think the fog made it even more...magical!

Again, we had scheduled a shore excursion, which was canceled. Sigh. Oh well, after seeing what the island actually looked like...we did not want to spend our day on the beach or snorkeling. We wanted to eXpLoRe! So we got off the boat and headed off to see what adventures we could conjure up.
We found a tour place and us and another couple booked a tour of the island. We piled into a mini van with our driver and our guide and headed off on the East/West Tour! The island is absolutely gorgeous!
We stopped at a little market where locals were selling some of the most beautiful jewelry, wooden dishes and souveniers.
As we were driving around...we saw this guy on the side of the road. He had just caught his "little" friend. EEK!
The funniest/quirkiest place we stopped was the Iguana Farm. It was this little dinky zoo-like place. So funny, but I'm definitely glad that we checked it out.
The huge iguanas!
They had this little dock where they were breading fish and lobster...the fish were HUGE and kind of nasty looking. The lobster were giant too...it was pretty cool. The view from the dock was absolutely breathtaking!
We jumped back in the van and finished off our tour. We stopped at this little shop to get some souveniers...we came home with some pretty great stuff!
It was the most fabulous day! I think Roatan was a highlight of the trip for us both. Very different from the other ports and really amazing. We were also really saddened by the extreme poverty there...it's crazy how much we take for granted here.
We got back on our ship, relaxed for a bit and headed down to dinner and the night life!

Me being silly on the way down to dinner...
